Product Overview

The RealSense™ D436 Starter Kit is the fastest way to evaluate the benefits of synchronized depth and RGB global shutter sensors for your project. This all-in-one bundle gives you the D436 camera along with a high-speed USB-C cable and a mounting tripod, everything you need to start testing SLAM and robotic navigation algorithms right out of the box.

What is in the Box:

  • RealSense™ Depth Camera D436 Peripheral
  • Tripod
  • USB-C Cable
  • Get Started Guide

The RealSense™ D436 Starter Kit is the fastest way to evaluate the benefits of synchronized depth and RGB global shutter sensors for your project. This "Retail Box" version is curated for developers and R&D teams who want to jump straight into testing without worrying about sourcing compatible cables or mounting hardware.

Inside the compact 90mm x 25mm x 25mm chassis, the D436 includes an integrated IMU to provide the 6DoF data necessary for stable visual SLAM and tracking. Whether you are operating in a brightly lit warehouse or a variable outdoor environment, the D436 maintains high-speed data integrity at up to 90 FPS. Because it shares the same form factor as the D435i and runs on the open-source RealSense™ SDK 2.0, you can integrate this into existing designs with virtually no development downtime.

When Robot Safety Becomes a Perception Problem

For decades, robot safety was based on separation. Cages, light curtains, guarded workcells, and emergency stops kept machines and people apart. Physical AI changes that model. Robots increasingly share space...
