FPV Camera Modules for Embedded UAV and Drone Systems

FPV drone systems depend on reliable real-time vision to help operators maintain awareness during navigation, inspection, remote operation, and confined-space flight. The FSM:GO IMX662 with 137° HFOV lens targets the practical FPV sweet spot, wide pilot awareness, Full HD imaging, and manageable bandwidth for embedded drone platforms.

FRAMOS supports drone OEMs with camera modules designed for compute-based UAV systems. With validated optics, strong low-light performance, and optimized image pipelines, FSM:GO helps teams move faster from camera selection to platform integration across NVIDIA Jetson, NXP i.MX, Qualcomm, and Raspberry Pi.

2 MP Full HD Detail

Full HD imaging supports clear visual feedback across a wide field of view.

NIR + Low-Light

Low-Light and NIR Performance

Strong sensitivity and NIR performance help maintain usable image data in changing outdoor lighting conditions.

HDR

HDR for Dynamic Scenes

High dynamic range helps preserve detail across bright skies, shaded ground, and high-contrast flight environments.

Interface

Flexible Interface Options

Supports PixelMate, MicroCoax, FFC, GMSL, and 22-pin Raspberry Pi interfaces for integration across a wide range of embedded UAV platforms.

Integration

System-Ready Integration

Validated optics, optimized image pipelines, and platform support help reduce camera bring-up and tuning effort.

Use cases

One module, three flight profiles

01

FPV Remote Operation & Racing

Wide 137° HFoV gives pilots maximum situational awareness during fast manoeuvres, tight gaps, and proximity flying. HDR handles the transition from bright sky to dark interiors in a single frame. NIR sensitivity keeps the image usable in low-light gates and shaded track sections.

Wide HDR Low latency
02

Confined-Space Inspection

Inspecting structures with restricted access - bridges, tunnels, tanks, ducts - requires a wide-angle view that captures the surrounding environment while navigating tight spaces. The 185° lens provides the spatial awareness margin needed to avoid contact and confirm orientation relative to the structure.

Wide angle NIR Obstacle awareness
03

Autonomous BVLOS Situational Awareness

Beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations require onboard cameras that provide wide coverage for detect-and-avoid logic and ground control monitoring feeds. The IMX676's wide FoV and NIR sensitivity support both human operator awareness and computer vision pipelines consuming the live feed.
