Product Overview

The RealSense™ D436 was engineered to solve the most common challenge in mobile robotics: rolling shutter artifacts like wobble and skew that occur with fast-moving objects. By pairing a wide-FOV global shutter depth module with a perfectly matched 1MP global shutter RGB sensor, this camera delivers sharp, aligned 3D data even during rapid movement. All depth processing is handled onboard by the D4 vision processor, keeping your host system lean and efficient.

Note:
This is the standalone peripheral unit designed for direct integration into your hardware stack.

The RealSense™ Depth Camera D436 is a tactical upgrade for the D400 series, specifically designed for the autonomous systems and mobile robotics market. While standard cameras often struggle with "jello" effects or color-to-depth misalignment when moving, the D436 uses synchronized global shutter sensors for both depth and RGB. This ensures that your RGB and depth frames are captured at the exact same moment in time, with a perfectly matched field of view 87° x 58°.

Inside the compact 90mm x 25mm x 25mm chassis, the D436 includes an integrated IMU to provide the 6DoF data necessary for stable visual SLAM and tracking. Whether you are operating in a brightly lit warehouse or a variable outdoor environment, the D436 maintains high-speed data integrity at up to 90 FPS. Because it shares the same form factor as the D435i and runs on the open-source RealSense™ SDK 2.0, you can integrate this into existing designs with virtually no development downtime.
