Camera Modules for Automotive Vision Systems

Automotive vision systems depend on reliable image data across motion, vibration, changing light, and space-constrained vehicle platforms. FRAMOS camera modules combine selected image sensors, validated optics, optimized image pipelines, and embedded platform support for automotive development, inspection, monitoring, and AI-enabled vehicle vision applications.

Camera Modules for Automotive Vision Systems
Driver & Vehicle Vision

Camera modules that see what matters - at automotive speed

Driver monitoring, ADAS development, and embedded vehicle vision all demand the same thing: a camera that captures exactly what happened at the exact moment it happened. Rolling shutter artifacts corrupt gaze vectors, distort pedestrian geometry, and introduce timing errors that defeat the algorithms working behind the lens.

FSM:GO camera modules combine global shutter sensors, matched optics, ISP tuning, and validated platform drivers into a complete imaging unit – ready to integrate into DMS, ADAS, and vehicle perception systems without custom camera bringup.

Precise geometry for object detection and spatial reasoning

Object detection, lane-keeping, and pedestrian classification algorithms require accurate bounding box geometry. Rolling shutter distorts fast-moving objects – a pedestrian at the edge of a 30 km/h vehicle frame appears skewed, shifting the predicted collision path. Global shutter captures the full scene simultaneously, delivering undistorted geometry that object detectors can trust.

The FSM:GO IMX900 combines a 3.2 MP Sony Pregius global shutter sensor with NIR sensitivity, matched wide-angle optics, and validated Jetson and NXP drivers – providing a fully characterised imaging foundation for ADAS algorithm development and system integration.

No geometric distortion on fast objects - accurate bounding boxes at any vehicle speed

NIR sensitivity enables day/night detection without a second sensor

Geometric calibration available - direct pixel-to-world mapping for depth estimation

GMSL-compatible interface option for automotive-grade cabling requirements

Application Scenarios

Where FSM:GO performs in automotive

Driver Monitoring Systems

Gaze tracking, eye closure detection, and head pose estimation for fatigue and distraction monitoring. Global shutter eliminates the spatial artifacts that corrupt landmark geometry during fast eye and head movements - the exact moments that matter most for safety systems.

ADAS Algorithm Development

Front-facing and surround-view camera inputs for pedestrian detection, lane classification, and obstacle avoidance. Precise temporal alignment between camera frame and sensor data avoids the skew-induced geometry errors that derail detection model training.

In-Cabin Monitoring

Occupant detection, seatbelt compliance, and child presence sensing. Compact FSM:GO modules fit interior packaging constraints while delivering the image quality needed for reliable detection across the full range of cabin lighting conditions.
