3D Vision AI for Mobile Robots: Setting Your System Up for Success

Mobile robots depend on precise 3D vision to navigate, map their surroundings, and detect obstacles — making reliable depth perception a critical part of any successful robotic system. From navigation and mapping to obstacle avoidance, accurate depth data is critical for autonomous systems to operate safely and efficiently.

  • At ImagingNext 2025, Rúben Oliveira, Global Field Application Engineer at FRAMOS, will dive into the practical side of 3D vision for mobile robotics. His session focuses on how stereo camera systems using RealSense technology and Ethernet connectivity can support scalable, real-world deployments — even in tough industrial environments.

Practical Insights into 3D Vision Integration

This session is designed for engineers and developers working on SLAM, autonomous navigation, and real-time perception. Rúben will walk attendees through challenges like network setup, synchronization, and streaming reliability — and offer practical solutions that make integration smoother and stronger.

You’ll also hear how to configure your system for long cable runs, optimize settings for consistent performance, and prepare for advanced AI workflows using ROS2 and Isaac ROS frameworks.
