Evaluation platform for SLVS-EC IP Core integration with full pipeline support and Sony sensor compatibility.

The SLVS-EC RX IP Core Evaluation Kit from FRAMOS provides a complete environment for integrating SLVS-EC interfaces into FPGA-based vision systems. Designed for rapid prototyping and validation, the kit includes both hardware and software components to streamline the evaluation of the SLVS-EC RX IP Core. The kit demonstrates how to connect a SONY image sensor using the SLVS-EC interface, showcasing a fully documented image pipeline. Supporting up to 8 configurable data lanes and pixel formats from 8 to 16-bit, it enables dynamic mode changes, byte-to-pixel conversion, and efficient data handling within FPGA logic. The platform is compatible with SLVS-EC standards v1.2, v2.0, and v3.0 and baud rates from 1.2 to 10 Gbps. Designed to minimize complexity, this evaluation kit accelerates development and simplifies integration, reducing time to market. It supports embedded data, ROI overlapping, CRC/ECC, and includes access to three reference kits featuring the Sony IMX421, IMX530, and IMX901 sensors. Ideal for developers and engineers building high-performance vision systems, the kit de-risks the sensor interface stage while offering flexibility and documentation for fast deployment.
