Product Summary

High-resolution 8.51 MP CMOS sensor for consumer cameras.

The IMX317CQC-C is an 8.51-megapixel CMOS image sensor developed by Sony, featuring a 7.20 mm (Type 1/2.5) diagonal size with a color square pixel array. This sensor delivers 12-bit digital output for both high-definition still and moving images, supporting resolutions up to 3864 x 2202 pixels. It operates on three power supplies—analog 2.8 V, digital 1.2 V, and 1.8 V for the I/O interface—resulting in low power consumption. The back-illuminated structure enhances light sensitivity, while its electronic rolling shutter allows for variable storage time. The IMX317CQC-C is designed primarily for consumer digital still cameras and camcorders, where high sensitivity and low dark current are critical for image quality.
