Product Summary

The Sony IMX532AAMJ-C offers a high-resolution 16.19 MP monochrome sensor with global shutter and high-speed imaging capabilities.

The Sony IMX532AAMJ-C is a high-performance CMOS image sensor that offers advanced imaging capabilities for industrial applications such as factory automation (FA) cameras and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). With a diagonal size of 16.8 mm (Type 1.1) and a resolution of 16.19 megapixels, this sensor delivers excellent image quality through its global shutter technology, making it perfect for capturing fast-moving objects without distortion.

Featuring a square pixel array with a resolution of 5328 x 3040 pixels and a pixel size of 2.74 x 2.74 µm, the IMX532 provides detailed and high-resolution monochrome images. This sensor is ideal for applications where precision is critical, such as machine vision, traffic monitoring, and industrial inspection systems. Its high-speed imaging capability supports up to 159 frames per second (fps), ensuring real-time performance for dynamic environments.

The global shutter technology of the IMX532 eliminates motion blur by capturing images instantly across the entire frame, a key feature for fast-moving scenes in industrial or ITS environments. Additionally, the sensor supports a variable charge-integration time, providing flexibility in adjusting exposure times to match different lighting conditions.

The sensor operates efficiently with a quadruple power supply: 3.3 V and 2.9 V for analog circuits, 1.1 V for digital circuits, and 1.8 V for the interface. This multi-voltage operation ensures low power consumption while maintaining high performance, making the IMX532 ideal for continuous use in energy-efficient systems.

  • 16.19 MP resolution with 5328 x 3040 pixel array
  • Global shutter for distortion-free imaging in fast-moving environments
  • Supports up to 159 fps for high-speed image capture
  • 2.74 x 2.74 µm pixel size for high-quality, detailed monochrome images
  • Quadruple power supply for efficient power consumption (3.3V, 2.9V, 1.1V, and 1.8V)
  • SLVS and SLVS-EC interfaces for high-speed data transfer
  • Compact 230-pin LGA ceramic package for easy integration into imaging systems

Part of Sony's Pregius S series, the IMX532AAMJ-C incorporates 4th-generation global shutter technology for enhanced sensitivity and reduced dark current. This ensures superior image quality even in low-light conditions, making the sensor a great fit for demanding environments where clarity and precision are essential.

The compact 21 mm x 20 mm ceramic package makes the Sony IMX532AAMJ-C ideal for integration into space-constrained industrial or surveillance systems, offering a perfect balance of high resolution, speed, and reliability for critical imaging applications.
