The Sony IMX511-AALJ-C provides 25.69 MP high-speed RGB imaging for consumer applications.

The Sony IMX511-AALJ-C is a high-performance CMOS image sensor designed for applications requiring both high-resolution still imaging and fast video capture. With a diagonal size of 7.81 mm (Type 1/2.3) and a resolution of approximately 25.69 megapixels, this sensor features a stacked architecture that enables efficient signal processing while minimizing power consumption. It is well-suited for a wide range of imaging applications, from consumer electronics to industrial vision systems.

The IMX511-AALJ-C employs a color square pixel array with a resolution of 5215 x 4927 pixels, each measuring 1.12 x 1.12 µm. This enables the sensor to capture highly detailed images, making it ideal for still photography where image clarity is crucial. The 12-bit digital output ensures that the sensor can produce high-definition image signals, allowing for excellent image quality in both still and moving picture modes.

One of the standout features of the IMX511-AALJ-C is its ability to handle high-speed image capture. It supports 60 frames per second (fps) for video applications, with the option for horizontal and vertical binning as well as subsampling readout. These capabilities make it ideal for capturing high-speed, high-definition moving images, crucial for applications such as action cameras, security monitoring, and industrial machine vision.

The sensor also features high sensitivity and low dark current, ensuring excellent performance in low-light conditions. The inclusion of an electronic shutter with variable integration time allows for flexible image capture across a variety of lighting scenarios, further enhancing its versatility. In terms of power efficiency, the IMX511 operates with three distinct power supply voltages: 2.8 V for analog, 1.2 V for digital, and 1.8 V for the I/O interface, ensuring low power consumption even during high-performance operations. This makes it an ideal choice for portable devices that require extended battery life without compromising on image quality.
