Product Overview

The IMX462LQR-C is a low-power CMOS sensor offering 2.07 MP resolution, 120 fps, and excellent low-light performance for industrial and surveillance applications.

The Sony IMX462LQR-C is a high-sensitivity CMOS image sensor designed for applications such as surveillance, factory automation (FA), and industrial cameras. With a diagonal size of 6.46 mm (Type 1/2.8 inch) and 2.13 million effective pixels, this sensor is optimized for low-light performance, making it ideal for capturing clear and detailed images even in challenging lighting environments. The sensor leverages Sony’s STARVIS technology, ensuring high sensitivity, low dark current, and minimal noise or smear.

The IMX462LQR-C offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, supporting Full HD imaging. Its pixel size of 2.9 x 2.9 μm enhances light-gathering capabilities, providing excellent performance in low-light conditions. The sensor also features an electronic shutter with variable charge-integration time, which allows for precise control over exposure settings in dynamic lighting scenarios. With support for high-speed frame rates of up to 120 frames per second (fps), this sensor is well-suited for real-time imaging applications.

Key features of the IMX462LQR-C include:

  • 2.07 MP resolution (1920 x 1080)
  • 2.9 x 2.9 μm pixel size for high sensitivity and detailed imaging
  • Electronic shutter with variable charge-integration time
  • High-speed frame rate of 120 fps for real-time image capture
  • Low dark current and no smear for enhanced image clarity
  • Triple power supply (2.9V, 1.2V, 1.8V) for efficient power consumption
  • LVDS, Parallel, and MIPI interfaces for versatile data transmission options
  • LGA 110-pin package for flexible system integration

This sensor is particularly well-suited for surveillance cameras where low-light sensitivity is crucial for monitoring in dim environments. It also performs effectively in factory automation and industrial camera settings, where high-speed and low-noise imaging are required for accurate monitoring of fast-moving objects or processes. The high sensitivity provided by the 2.9 μm pixel size allows the IMX462LQR-C to excel in both day and night-time conditions.

The sensor’s MIPI, LVDS, and Parallel interfaces offer multiple options for data transmission, making integration into modern imaging systems easier and more flexible. The durable LGA 110-pin package ensures reliable performance, making this sensor a solid choice for demanding industrial and security applications where stability and longevity are essential.

The Sony IMX462LQR-C combines high-speed performance, low-light sensitivity, and versatile output options, making it an excellent solution for a wide range of imaging applications in surveillance, factory automation, and industrial monitoring.
