Description

This FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM-IMX477) features the highly acclaimed Sony IMX477 sensor, encapsulated in a compact 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm module. Designed with a rolling shutter mechanism, it provides an impressive native resolution of 12.3 megapixels and an optical format of 1/2.3 inch, boasting a pixel size of 1.55 x 1.55 µm. The module includes a MIPI CSI-2 interface with up to four data lanes, ensuring swift data transfer for various applications.

As a key component of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, the FSM-IMX477 is engineered to offer seamless integration into embedded vision systems. This ecosystem utilizes a sophisticated connectivity framework that supports compatibility with a wide array of processing platforms. By employing optional FRAMOS Sensor Adapters (FSA), users can easily establish connections with FRAMOS Processor Adapters (FPA), enabling integration with numerous proprietary processing solutions.

The customer-specific implementation is further enhanced by a standardized Software Pack that includes reference drivers for popular platforms, such as the NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2, Jetson™ AGX Xavier™, and Jetson™ AGX Orin™ Development Boards. This comprehensive support framework significantly simplifies the integration process, allowing developers to focus on their application rather than low-level hardware details.

To facilitate immediate evaluation, everything required to get started with the FSM-IMX477 can be purchased off-the-shelf. For optimal testing, FRAMOS recommends acquiring the FSM alongside a platform-specific Development Kit (Devkit). This kit contains all necessary components, allowing users to assemble and begin testing the sensor’s capabilities swiftly.

The FSM-IMX477 module is built to operate under demanding conditions, with a temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and a maximum humidity tolerance of 95%. This resilience, combined with compatibility for various lens mounts, including C/CS and M12 options, ensures versatility for diverse applications.

  • Compact dimensions of 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm facilitate easy integration into various systems.
  • High resolution of 12.3 MP for capturing detailed images in real-time.
  • Supports MIPI CSI-2 interface with up to four data lanes for high-speed data transfer.
  • Part of a robust ecosystem offering flexible compatibility with multiple processing platforms.
  • Standardized software support, including reference drivers for streamlined setup.
  • Wide operational temperature range from -30°C to +85°C, suitable for various environments.

The FSM-IMX477 stands out as an exceptional choice for developers seeking high-quality imaging solutions in compact formats. By facilitating easy integration into existing systems and providing extensive support through the FRAMOS ecosystem, this module is poised to enhance a wide range of embedded vision applications.
