Product Overview

Stereo cameras can see further but accuracy degrades with distance and varies depending on scene and lighting conditions.

AI-native depth camera powered by a new Gen 5 SoC, delivering on-device AI processing, sub-15cm minimum range, and IP65 protection as standard. Built for robotics, humanoid platforms, and industrial automation. Expected to ship Q1 2027.

The RealSense™ D585 Pro is an AI-native depth camera powered by the new RealSense™ Vision Processor V5, a custom Gen 5 system-on-chip featuring a dedicated depth engine, image signal processor, digital signal processor, AI accelerators, and a quad-core ARM processor. Combined with dual IR projectors and high-resolution global-shutter sensors, the D585 Pro delivers on-device AI and depth processing without relying on host compute, reducing system complexity for robotics and industrial automation applications.

Designed for humanoid robots, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), collaborative arms, industrial robotics, and inspection systems, the D585 Pro spans the full robotics perception stack, from close-range manipulation and inspection to long-range navigation and environmental awareness. It delivers a sub-15cm minimum range at full resolution, 2.5x better close-range performance than competing solutions, a 120° × 100° field of view at up to 60 FPS, dual RGB and depth streaming, built-in IR filtering, hardware synchronization, and IP65 protection as standard, simplifying system design across indoor and outdoor environments.

Built on a software-defined Gen 5 architecture, the D585 Pro gains new perception capabilities over time through SDK-delivered updates, including planned support for Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO), occupancy grid generation, auto-calibration, and face detection, extending platform value without requiring new hardware. Supported by the open, cross-platform RealSense™ SDK 2.0, the D585 Pro lets developers deploy once and continuously expand functionality through software.

As an authorized RealSense™ distributor and value-added partner, FRAMOS provides early technical consultation and design-in support to help customers plan, prototype, and evaluate the D585 Pro ahead of its Q1 2027 launch.

Highlights
  • On-Device AI & Depth Engine
Powered by the custom Gen 5 SoC, executing the full perception pipeline on-camera to eliminate host compute dependencies.
  • Sub-15cm Minimum Range
Delivers full-resolution depth mapping at under 15cm, optimized for complex robotic manipulation and detailed industrial inspection.
  • Standard IP65 Protection
Built for immediate industrial deployment with default IP65 sealing, built-in IR filtering, and robust GMSL2 or USB-C connectivity.

Streamlined System Architecture

Hardware-level AI and depth processing offloads the host system, significantly lowering compute requirements and overall integration costs for AMR and humanoid platforms.

Software-Defined Upgradability

Expand platform capabilities post-deployment via RealSense™ SDK 2.0 updates - including VIO and auto-calibration - adding perception value over time without requiring hardware iterations.

Proactive Design-In Support

Engage our vision integration experts for early technical consultation and prototyping, accelerating your system architecture design ahead of the expected Q1 2027 launch.
