Product Overview

Complete 3D vision solution with RealSense™ D455f Depth Camera, GMSL/FAKRA, cable, and tripod for superior depth accuracy and ease of use.

The RealSense™ Depth Camera D455f Starter Kit is a complete depth-sensing solution ideal for applications that require precise 3D data capture. This kit includes the RealSense™ D455f camera, a cable, and a tripod, making it ready for immediate setup and use. The D455f is a USB-powered camera equipped with wide field of view depth sensors and an RGB sensor. With a 95 mm baseline distance between the depth sensors, the D455f improves depth (Z) error to less than 2% at a range of 4 meters, providing highly accurate depth measurements. An IR Pass Filter over the lenses helps reduce issues caused by light reflections, such as repetitive patterns and false object detection. The RGB sensor, which includes a global shutter, is designed to improve image quality and ensure accurate correspondence between the depth and RGB images. Both sensors share an 86° field of view (FOV), which further enhances image matching. The D455f’s wider baseline offers superior accuracy compared to the D415 and D435 models, making it an excellent choice for 3D scanning, robotics, and industrial automation.

Key Features:

  • Wide Field of View Depth Sensors: 86° FOV for depth and RGB sensors.
  • Improved Depth Accuracy: Less than 2% depth (Z) error at 4 meters due to 95 mm baseline.
  • IR Pass Filter: Reduces light reflection interference and false object detection.
  • Global Shutter RGB Sensor: Provides accurate RGB-depth image matching.
  • USB 3.1 Powered: Efficient connection for data transfer.

Technical Specifications:

  • Package: Starter Kit (includes camera, cable, and tripod)
  • Mount Type: USB 3.1
  • Sensors: 95 mm baseline, global shutter RGB sensor
  • Field of View: 86°
  • Other Features: GMSL/FAKRA, IR Pass Filter, IMU

The RealSense™ D455f Starter Kit provides a comprehensive solution for professionals requiring precise depth measurement and 3D imaging capabilities.
