Vieworks Builds on the FRAMOS® IP Core to Connect Sony Sensors to Xilinx FPGAs for the Asian Machine Vision Market

Vieworks uses the FRAMOS’ IP Core to optimize resources and accelerate their implementation with the latest Sony CMOS sensors, and focuses on the advanced Machine Vision applications in the Asian markets.

The proprietary FRAMOS FPGA module, available with an Evaluation Kit, connects SONY’s latest and future image sensor interfaces with up to 8 lanes at 2.3Gbps each. In addition, this module provides three to four times higher bandwidth, higher resolutions, and, a simplified system design compared to SubLVDS. It enables vision engineers to readily and seamlessly upgrade to Sony’s new interface technology and create high-performance vision solutions. The SLVS-EC RX IP Core is currently available and compatible with XILINX’ Artix-7 and Kintex-7 releases. FRAMOS has distributed and supported Sony sensors for 36 years and is an official Xilinx partner. Consequently, it has a deep knowledge of the best of both worlds to enable customers like Vieworks to complete their solution with ease and provide professional services like development support, customization, and logistics.
