Product Overview
8.3 MP high-resolution sensor module with Sony IMX485 CMOS sensor, ideal for embedded imaging applications.
This FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM-IMX485) integrates the cutting-edge Sony IMX485 sensor within a compact 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm module. Featuring a rolling shutter design, it offers a native resolution of 8.3 megapixels with an optical format of 1/2.7 inch and a pixel size of 2.9 x 2.9 µm. The module supports a MIPI CSI-2 interface with up to four data lanes, facilitating rapid data transfer and high-quality imaging performance across various applications.
As a vital component of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, the FSM-IMX485 is designed to deliver seamless integration into embedded vision systems. The ecosystem leverages a sophisticated connectivity framework, allowing for flexible compatibility with multiple processing platforms. By utilizing optional FRAMOS Sensor Adapters (FSA), users can easily establish standard connections to a variety of FRAMOS Processor Adapters (FPA), enhancing the module's versatility in different deployment scenarios.
The implementation of the FSM-IMX485 is further supported by a comprehensive Software Pack, which includes reference drivers for leading platforms such as the NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2 and Jetson™ AGX Xavier™ Development Boards. This support simplifies the integration process, allowing developers to focus on their applications without the complexities of low-level hardware management.
For immediate evaluation, all necessary components to operate the FSM-IMX485 can be purchased off-the-shelf. FRAMOS recommends acquiring the FSM along with a platform-specific Development Kit (Devkit) for a streamlined testing experience. This kit includes everything required to quickly assemble and start using the sensor.
The FSM-IMX485 module is built to withstand a wide range of operating conditions, featuring a temperature range from -30°C to +85°C and a humidity tolerance of up to 95%. Its robust design, combined with compatibility for various lens mounts such as C/CS and M12 options, makes it an ideal choice for diverse imaging applications.
