Description

This FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM-IMX335) features the advanced Sony IMX335 sensor, housed in a compact 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm module. This rolling shutter sensor offers a native resolution of 5 megapixels and an optical format of 1/2.8 inch, with a pixel size of 2 x 2 µm. It supports high-speed data transfer through its MIPI CSI-2 interface, allowing for up to four data lanes. This configuration ensures efficient performance in various applications, from industrial automation to security systems.

The FSM-IMX335 is designed to be part of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, which includes a sophisticated connectivity framework. This ecosystem provides flexible compatibility with a wide range of processing platforms and various adapters. Optional FRAMOS Sensor Adapters (FSA) establish standard interfaces to FRAMOS Processor Adapters (FPA), enabling seamless connections to proprietary processing platforms. This adaptability allows users to integrate the FSM-IMX335 into existing systems with minimal effort.

For enhanced usability, the FSM-IMX335 is supported by a standardized Software Pack that includes reference drivers for select platforms, such as the NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2 and Jetson™ AGX Xavier™ Development Boards. This comprehensive support makes the integration process straightforward and quick, facilitating immediate testing and deployment in various projects.

Everything necessary for a successful startup and image capture is available off-the-shelf, allowing users to evaluate the module as soon as it is assembled. For evaluation purposes, FRAMOS highly recommends purchasing the FSM-IMX335 along with a platform-specific Development Kit (Devkit). This kit includes essential components such as flex cables and lens mounts, ensuring users have everything they need to begin their projects effectively.

The FSM-IMX335 is engineered to meet demanding operational conditions, with a wide operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C and humidity tolerance from 20% to 95% RH, non-condensing. Additionally, its robust design and compatibility with M12 or C/CS-mount lenses make it an ideal choice for diverse applications.

Overall, the FSM-IMX335 Sensor Module combines cutting-edge technology with practical implementation, making it a versatile solution for various embedded vision applications. Its compact size, high resolution, and extensive support ecosystem provide a powerful tool for developers and engineers looking to leverage advanced imaging capabilities in their products.
