Advances in ToF and Event-based Vision

Special image sensors such as ToF sensor or event-based sensor perform tasks that go beyond mere imaging: A time-of-flight camera sensor measures the precise distance between itself and the object to be imaged. It thus provides valuable 3D vision information that can be used as control data alone or in sensor fusion in robotics and industrial automation. The event-based image sensor, on the other hand, is a sensor that always takes pictures when something changes on the object to be imaged.

Our webinar, Advances in ToF and Event Vision, provides valuable insights into the latest generations and developments in Sony image sensors for time-of-flight and event-based imaging.

These are our topics on ToF sensors and event-based sensors

We will introduce you to the latest developments in the field of special image sensors and give you an outlook on Sony’s developments in this area. We will show you the advances in depth sensing technology and how changing scenes can be effectively captured even under challenging conditions.
