Description

The FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM) featuring the Sony IMX415 sensor delivers a high-performance solution for embedded vision applications in a remarkably compact 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm form factor. The Sony IMX415 is a cutting-edge Rolling Shutter sensor with a native resolution of 8.4 MP (megapixels) and an optical format of 1/2.8 inch, providing high image quality even in challenging lighting conditions. The pixel size of 1.45 µm x 1.45 µm further enhances light sensitivity, making it suitable for applications that require fine image details and clarity.

This module is equipped with a MIPI CSI-2 interface, which supports up to four data lanes, enabling high-speed data transfer for demanding vision tasks. The MIPI CSI-2 interface ensures seamless integration into various embedded systems, offering developers a flexible and scalable solution for their imaging needs.

As part of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, the FSM leverages a comprehensive connectivity framework that ensures compatibility with a broad range of processing platforms. The ecosystem includes optional FRAMOS Sensor Adapters (FSA), which provide a standardized interface to connect the FSM to a variety of proprietary processing platforms through FRAMOS Processor Adapters (FPA). This modular approach allows users to tailor their imaging systems to specific application requirements with ease.

To simplify integration and accelerate development, FRAMOS offers a standardized Software Pack that includes reference drivers for select platforms. These drivers are specifically designed for seamless operation with popular development boards such as the NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2, Jetson™ AGX Xavier™, and Jetson™ AGX Orin™. This software support ensures that developers can quickly deploy their FSM-based solutions on a variety of platforms, reducing time to market and simplifying the evaluation process.

For rapid evaluation and prototyping, FRAMOS recommends purchasing the FSM along with a platform-specific Development Kit (DevKit). The DevKit provides everything needed to start working with the sensor module right out of the box, enabling users to easily set up the system and obtain high-quality images in a matter of minutes. This plug-and-play approach makes it an ideal solution for both beginner and advanced developers working in embedded vision projects.

The versatility of the FRAMOS Sensor Module, combined with the flexibility of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, allows for a wide range of applications, including automotive, industrial automation, surveillance, and smart city solutions. The ability to customize the system through the use of FRAMOS adapters and development kits ensures that this module can be adapted to meet the unique needs of various projects and industries.

  • Compact design: 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm
