Description

This FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM-IMX412) features the advanced Sony IMX412 sensor, encapsulated in a compact 26.5 mm x 26.5 mm module. The CMOS rolling shutter sensor boasts a native resolution of 12.3 megapixels, with an optical format of 1/2.3 inch and a pixel size of 1.55 x 1.55 µm. Designed for efficiency, the module includes a MIPI CSI-2 interface with support for up to four data lanes, facilitating high-speed data transfer essential for dynamic imaging applications.

The FSM-IMX412 is an integral part of the FRAMOS Sensor Module Ecosystem, which provides a sophisticated connectivity framework to ensure flexible compatibility with multiple processing platforms. This versatility is achieved through the use of optional FRAMOS Sensor Adapters (FSA) and FRAMOS Processor Adapters (FPA), which allow seamless integration with various proprietary processing units. This makes the FSM-IMX412 an ideal choice for a range of embedded vision applications, from industrial automation to consumer electronics.

To further enhance user experience, the FSM-IMX412 is backed by a comprehensive Software Pack that includes reference drivers tailored for popular platforms such as the NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2, Jetson™ AGX Xavier™, and Jetson™ AGX Orin™ Development Boards. This support enables quick and efficient implementation of the sensor in development projects, significantly reducing the time to market.

All necessary components for a successful startup and image acquisition can be purchased off-the-shelf, allowing users to evaluate the module immediately upon assembly. For optimal results during the evaluation phase, FRAMOS recommends acquiring both the FSM-IMX412 and a platform-specific Development Kit (Devkit). This kit provides everything needed to integrate the sensor seamlessly into existing systems.

The FSM-IMX412 is engineered to perform under a wide range of environmental conditions, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +75°C and storage capabilities from -30°C to +80°C. Its robust design also allows for operation in humid environments, tolerating humidity levels from 20% to 95% RH (non-condensing). The module supports various lens mounts, including M12 and C/CS mounts, providing flexibility for different optical configurations.

With its high resolution, extensive compatibility, and comprehensive support ecosystem, the FSM-IMX412 Sensor Module stands out as a versatile solution for developers seeking to implement advanced imaging solutions. Its compact design, paired with the robust FRAMOS ecosystem, allows for rapid prototyping and efficient production processes, making it a preferred choice for embedded vision applications.
