MicroCoax (50pin), MIPI CSI-2

Micro coaxial cables excel in high-frequency data transmission with electromagnetic interference protection, making them perfect for tight spaces and long cable distances (600mm to 900mm). We achieved MIPI tests at 2376Mbps/lane over 600mm and 1782Mbps/lane over 900mm.

To use MicroCoax, adapt from PixelMate 60-pins to 50-pins with a 0.4mm pitch connector. A few signals, like second MIPI clock and I2C, are dropped but aren’t needed in FSM:GO modules. Custom cables may be necessary, obtainable from specialized companies, but consider lead times and MOQ. For quick testing, connect FSM:GO with MicroCoax cables to supported carrier boards using an adapter and pre-made cable (FMA-CBL-MC50-0.3m-V1A).
